The Walk

Moving Toward Christ in the Day-to-day of Life.

If you were of a Jewish background and familiar with the Hebrew Bible, you would know that in the Hebrew language, walk is nearly a synonym for life. “The Walk” could also be entitled “The Life.” "He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints." (Proverbs 2:7-8)

There is nowhere in Scripture where the Christian life is described as standing in place. There are no verses about walking backwards. The question is not if we are walking, but how well are we walking? Are we walking in the right direction? Are we walking with integrity? Are we walking for the right reasons and in the right manner?

This series is intended to be a guide to Christian walking. Our subtitle for the series is, Moving Toward Christ in the Day-to-day of Life. Each message will focus on an area where most of us live and struggle to make our faith a daily reality.

Christian values aren’t a set of rules for being "perfect.” They’re guide rails that help us stay connected to Jesus, letting him shape our lives from the inside out. These values guide how we treat others, how we make decisions, and how we respond when life gets messy. As we live out Christian values, we don’t just reflect Jesus—we invite others to know him, too.
